Mimi Lam
Mimi Lam (she/her/hers) is an actor and martial artist based in NYC. She received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College. She is currently in rehearsals for The Nicolas Cage Variety Show with the Kitchen Sink Theatre Company at the Brooklyn Art Haus. Recently, she passed her Two-Handed Sword Skills Proficiency Test by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD).
This year, she performed her stand-up set at the Broadway Comedy Club and the Greenwich Village Comedy Club.
This past year, Mimi played the role of Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, directed by Caley Chase, as part of the Powerhouse Theater season at Vassar College.
In Los Angeles where she's from, she worked as a Library Manager for the Sims Library of Poetry, where she provided poetry books for the underrepresented population of South Los Angeles.
During her undergraduate years at Allegheny College, she studied Mathematics and Filmmaking, with a focus on documentary filmmaking. Even though she has moved on to pursue acting, she brings her eye in cinematography and detail-oriented mind from mathematics.
In her free time, Mimi writes poetry, rides her bike, and practices Aikido.
