Mimi Lam
Mimi Lam (she/her/hers) is an actor combatant and martial artist based in NYC. She received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College. This summer, Mimi attended the National Stage Combat Workshop hosted by the Society of American Fight Directors, and passed her Skills Proficiency Test in Rapier and Dagger, Two-Handed Sword, and Unarmed combat.
She was recently in two play readings with Theatre Write Now and the Nicolas Cage Variety Show with the Kitchen Sink Theatre Company at the Brooklyn Art Haus.
During her undergraduate years at Allegheny College, she studied Mathematics and Filmmaking, with a focus on documentary filmmaking. Even though she has moved on to pursue acting, she brings her eye in cinematography and detail-oriented mind from mathematics.
Her goal is to tell the stories of her Vietnamese family, culture, and community.
